The Game of Life is a system of cellular automata in two dimensions devised in 1970 by John Horton Conway, a British mathematician. Life is a game played on a rectangular grid. Each square on the grid is a cell which is either alive or dead. The cells can change from one generation to the next. The Game of Life has been a staple at computer labs for decades.
